A Sad Day

Not to long ago my mom's Uncle Loui passed away. Then 7 months later our Aunty Daisy passed away. Today we had her funeral. We also put flowers for my popo (grandma) who passed away about 6 years ago. Losing people in your life hurts.

They say you learn more at a funeral then at a birthday party. Uncle Lou and Aunt Daisy have 5 adult children. It was hard to see them all crying and mourning. I also teared up. They all shared brief words and memories of their mom.

There was a short sermon about faith and belief in the resurrection. And how Jesus is the resurrection and the life. And how Aunty Daisy strongly believed and knew Jesus.

At the end of the day.. the only things that really matter in life are your relationship with God, others and yourself. don't get caught up in distractions. Yes pursue your goals and passions, work hard.. but remember what's most important in life.

Be kind to others and be kind to yourself.

Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and all your strength.

Let the people you love and care about know that you love and care about them.

Be compassionate and generous for the glory of God.

Make the most of the life we have.

Choose to love unconditionally.

Don't take the people in your life for granted.
