What If We Treated Our Bibles Like Our Cell Phones?

If we treated our bibles like our cell phones we would have a stronger relationship with God. We would know God's heart and know Him more intimately. We would constantly check God's Word every time He had something to text us. We would be updated with divine messages meant for us to hear throughout our day.
We would spend time with Him as much as we spend time playing silly iphone apps. We would worship Him with praise for every song that we played. We would be reminded of His love with each phone call. We would carry our bibles everywhere and never leave the house without it. We would always be equipped to turn to it in emergencies. We would be in prayer as often as we check our emails. Instead of watching ridiculous youtube videos, we would find joy in His truth. Every night we would set our bibles next to us, so we could wake up hearing His voice. I believe God's Word has the power to penetrate our hearts and restore us if we would just meditate on His Word. When the gospel of Jesus Christ takes root in our lives, we become Christ-like to others. We would share God's love to more people than we have on our contacts list. If we cherished our bibles as much as we cling to our cell phones we would grow tremendously in our relationship with God. Perhaps there's a voice message waiting for you today.
